Ten facts about me

When stumbling upon a blog I personally find it very nice to first read something about the person writing all the posts. You kind of need to get the feeling that you know them at least a little bit to know where they are coming from. That is why I thought it was a good idea to come up with ten facts about me. And oh boy have I amazed myself with how little I seem to know about myself. Why is it that I can talk for hours about what my husband is like and his adventures but when it comes to myself I am a weirdo that finds it hard to come up with ten (yes, only ten!) facts about myself. However, I did my best and I hope that you get the feeling that you know me a bit better after reading this. Enjoy!

  • I’m Dutch, but write in English since I missed this a lot from my time in uni and I love the English language (even though I still might make mistakes here and there)

  • I studied European Studies at the Hague University of Applied Sciences

  • I fell in love when I was 17, got engaged when I was 20 and got married at 21, and yes, all to the same lucky guy haha

  • During my studies, I lived abroad for 5 months. I studied at Coventry University in the UK

  • Before my husband and I started dating I was planning on moving to the United States after my studies to start a life there. I always felt some sort of strange connection to this country eventhough I had never been. And to let you in on a little secret, I have been there in the meantime and every now and then I still day dream of moving there

  • I am a Christian

  • I love everything seasonal. Doesn’t matter if it is the crisp air and coloured leaves during fall, the fairy lights and Christmas movies during the winter time or everything spring and summer like – I will love it.

  • My husband and I went to Bali for our honeymoon – which was amazing, duh - and we got stuck on the island as the volcano 'Agung' was erupting and we were unable to fly home for a couple of days. We even made it to the Dutch national newspaper

  • I work in the baby furniture and gear industry

  • My happy place is at home, in my comfy clothing with some Netflix and my hubby of course

Love,

Marina
